AKC Fit Dog Classes
Cost: $225, Length: 6 weeks
AKC Fit Dog Class – Level 1 – introduces and practices the following skills:
- tuck sit, kickback stand, shake a paw, stand/down/stand
- front paw targeting, cookie stretches, spin – left and right, privoting with rear legs
Each week will involve fitness related items, including cardio/warm up skills, stretch/fitness skills, and cool down/flexibility skills.This class can be used to gain your Bronze AKC Fit Dog Title. You would also need to complete one group walk with us (at least 1 mile) or other item from the Bronze Title checklist.
PAWSitively Active
Group Walks offered with Althea Chasse
PAWSitively Active is our very own AKC Fit Dog Club run by Althea Chasse, trainer and Fit Dog Class Instructor. Starting in 2026, PAWSitively Active will meet and accomplish certain fitness goals together with their dogs. The main goal of AKC Fit Dogs are to promote health and proper fitness for dogs and their owners. As an AKC Fit Dog Club, PAWSitively Active will:
- Conduct at least 4 group fitness walks per year, or
- Conduct regularly scheduled canine fitness/conditioning classes.
In the fitness walks and classes, dogs and owners may participate at their own individual skill level.

This Pup Runs joins PAWSitively Obedient on select dates each month to give our clients the opportunity to have their dog experience Massachusetts first Mobile Dog Gym offering self-paced treadmill sessions.Their van is fully equipped with a safe and climate-controlled environment, allowing your dog to walk or run comfortably. It’s a fun and innovative way to keep your dog fit and happy, without the hassles of dog parks or the challenges of New England weather. This Pup Runs gives your dog the ability to run in any weather!
