Curbing Adolescence is a class designed for your dog in their teenage months. Dogs enter adolescence between 6 months – 3 years of age. Dogs in their teenage years can struggle with over the top excitement, short attention spans, and it is very common for new unwanted behaviors to arise. This is not your basic obedience class. This class focuses on attention or engagement games, building a relationship with your dog amongst distractions,, and how to create a thinking dog. We utilize Leslie McDevitt’s number of pattern games to help our teenage dogs get a handle on their big emotions and focus attention to us in the real world.

• Dogs should have some basic training cues on board already such as – sit, down, come, stay (without distractions)
• Dogs can join this class after a level I or level II class; it really depends on when they hit their adolescent development period.
