Here is an example of the types of Behavior issues I can help you with:

Aggression (growling, snapping, biting) people, other dogs or animals
Over Arousal Reactivity (barking, lunging on leash)
Destructive behaviors (chewing, digging, etc.)
Shy or fearful behaviors (cowering, hiding, growling)
Resource guarding issues (stiff posturing, growling over food bowl, furniture,or other items)

Dealing with dog aggression issues can be stressful, frustrating, and scary. You may feel helpless to solve the issues, or even scared that your dog may bite. I’ve been in your shoes and I can help.

Using positive reinforcement modification techniques, I will teach you to manage your dog safely while we work to replace the bad moments of behavior with good moments of behavior from your dog. We’ll start with a consultation to discuss the issues you’re experiencing and determine next steps.

All of our behavioral consultations and sessions are conducted via remote, online sessions. We will meet via Zoom, a remote video chat service that does not require you to create an account. All you need is a computer with a webcam and microphone, or a smartphone. A recording of the session can be made available upon request.

You might be thinking, “can I really get the help I need without having a trainer at my home?” The answer is yes! By meeting virtually, I am able to address your dog problems while keeping everyone safe and not causing additional stress for your dog.

Prior to your appointment we’ll ask you to complete a behavior questionnaire providing me with the details and history of your dog’s behavior problems. This will enable us to make the best use of our time together.

During the consultation, after we have discussed your dog’s needs, have set forth a management plan and training goals, I will help you determine what number of sessions (and how many per week) may be best for you and your dog.

After the consultation, most behavior issues will require additional sessions. We offer a variety of package options and will make a recommendation as to which would be appropriate for your situation and to achieve your training goals.

Achieving your goals. While we work to modify existing problematic behavior, your involvement in the training process will be critical to your dog’s overall success. Training involves many technical skills that evolve with quality practice and repetition, much like learning to play an instrument. The aim of our sessions together are to give you the confidence and competence to train your dog and achieve your goals. Through demonstration and coaching, we’ll provide you with detailed information about how to apply each training technique, and explain how to avoid common training mistakes that may slow your dog’s progress and prevent lasting change in behavior.
