Paws-itively Obedient offers a wide variety of
dog training classes at 275 Oak St, Pembroke, MA.
All of our instructors are certified professional dog trainers.
CPDT-KA certified instructors must have 36 continuing education credits every 3 years to keep their credentials.
Beginner Classes – Level 1
Both Level 1 classes are 7 weeks in length, an hour each week. Cost is $289 Included Class Supplies: Freedom No-Pull (front connect) harness, training clicker, 4′ indoor drag line training leash, treat apron, orientation packet, and PAWS Training Manual PDF!

Puppy Kindergarten Level 1: This is our training and socialization class for pups 8 – 18 weeks of age. Focus: continued emphasis on socialization, puppy management, and calming exercises, foundation skills, basic obedience focusing on attention behaviors, calm behavior, loose leash walking, and more!
*In general, puppies can start puppy socialization classes as early as 8-9 weeks of age. Puppies should receive a minimum of one set of vaccines (distemper/parvo vaccination) at least 7 days prior to the first class and a first deworming treatment. They should be kept up-to-date on vaccines throughout the class.
Good Manners Level 1: dogs over 18 weeks of age. Focus: Foundation exercises focus on getting ATTENTION and then adding other skills for the owner/dog team around distractions. We will explain how dogs learn and the generalization, fluency and reliability as it pertains to the skills you teach your dog. Skills: sit (sit/stay for dinner, sit/stay for door work, sit politely for greeting), down, back off, come when called, loose leash walking with heel position, stay work, leave it, touch (target), in-home management and problem behavior prevention.
Continued Training Classes
Classes are 6 weeks in length, an hour each week and cost $215.
Puppy Kindergarten Level 2: puppy graduates of PK1 or in-home puppy training. *Puppies should be 11 months and under. Focus: continued obedience focusing on household manners (sit/stay for door work, sit politely for greeting), impulse control exercises, mat work, loose leash walking exercises with heel position, leave it, stay work, and continued come when called work. Games like musical chairs, duck, duck, goose, and more! *Puppies can then continue onto Good Manners Level 2!
Good Manners Level 2: for graduates of GM 1 and PK 2 or in-home dog training. Focus: Continued obedience training with introduction of variable rate of reinforcement and using real life rewards as reinforcement. Incorporate higher levels of the three D’s of behavior (distance, duration, and distractions. Dog-Dog greeting, tandem leash walking, come when called and stay exercises. Leash walking exercises with leave it cues.The instructor may also choose to introduce agility obstacles and jumps The added challenge and fun for dogs (and owners) will bring a whole new level of excitement to the basic obedience they have already learned.
